Internet Explorer Default Text Size

If Internet Explorer drives you crazy by trying to "help" you by changing the default text size here is the answer!

Go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\International\Scripts

Right-click on the Scripts key, choose new>DWORD value, name it Default_IEFontSize. Right-click on Default_IEFontSize and type in one of the following numbers:

1=smallest
2=smaller
3=medium
4=larger
5=largest
===============================
To lock IE font size so it can't be changed, backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft

Right-click on the Microsoft key, choose new>Key, name it Internet Explorer, right-click on the Internet Explorer key, choose new>Key, name it Restrictions. Then you'll need to right-click on the Restrictions key , choose new>DWORD value, name Fonts. Right-click on Fonts, choose modify and type in the number 1.
